FAQ on Renting an Apple Tree

1. How much does it cost?
   Renting an apple tree will cost $95.00 per year.
   
   
2. What types of payment do you accept?
   We accept PayPal, which is our preferred type of payment because you can purchase and pay using Visa, Mastercard and America Express right online. You may also phone-in your order to us at 607-846-2757 and we can discuss additional payment options to meet your individual needs.
   
   
3. Do you accept international orders?
   Unfortunately, at this time, we only ship within the United States.
   
   
4. What varieties of apple trees do you offer?
   We offer seven wonderful varieties of apple trees: Empire, Liberty, Macoun, McIntosh, Cortland, Honey Crisp, Gala, and Ginger Gold. Click here for specific information on each type of tree available for rent.
   
   
5. What do I receive when I rent an apple tree?
   You will receive a Gift box filled with 48 beautiful apples from your tree; a personalized rental certificate; four personalized gift bags; and our quarterly e-newsletter.
   
   
6. Who takes care of my apple tree?
   The farmers at Stoneyridge Apple Orchard take care of your apple tree for the whole year.
   
   
7. How often do apple trees yield apples?
   Apple trees yield a crop that is harvested once a year. The harvest time varies with each individual variety of apple tree.
   
   
8. When do I get my apples?
   Harvest time varies by the variety of apple tree. However, you can expect your shipment of apples to arrive between September and December. With respect to harvest times, we are happy to accommodate your shipping requests.
   
   
9. Can I visit my apple tree?
   Of course you can visit your apple tree! However, we would appreciate it if you called to make an appointment first so we can set aside a time to show you the orchard and your personal tree. Please call 607-846-2757 for more information.
   
   
10. What happens if the apples get damaged?
    Although this is a rare occurence, you take the same risk that the farmer takes every year.
    
    
11. Is there a deadline to rent an appletree?
    There is no deadline to rent an apple tree. This can be done any time of the year.
    
    
12. When do they start harvesting?
    The farmers start harvesting in August and depending on the variety of the apple, will continue into November.
    
    
13. How many pounds are 48 apples?
    We estimate about 20 pounds but this also depends on the variety of the apple. Some apple varieties are larger than others.
    
    
14. How many bushels is 48 apples?
    It's about 1/2 a bushel, depending on the variety of the apple.
    
    
15. Do you ship all over the continental USA?
    Yes, we do.
